My Ayurveda journey began when I studied with Dr Robert Svoboda (200 hours) and Sunita Passi (Tri-Dosha) in 2015.
I am particularly focused on working with women, in terms of self empowerment and finding our voice.
I have studied (and continue to do so) with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, Chinnamasta Stiles and Uschi Gibson. I am a fully accredited Yoga Nidra and Yoni Shakti (women’s Yoga) therapist.
I have a diploma in clinical Ayurveda from Mind Body Medical (Dr Sam Watts, 200 hours) and I am qualified in panchakarma therapies (100 hours) from Harmony Yoga and Ayurveda (Stephen Brandon, now retired). I have completed many further trainings including with Ayurveda Cherai in Kerala.
With a past career as a nurse I bring a unique east west perspective to all my offerings, with a completely holistic and client focused approach.

About Savitri
For many years I have travelled to India and specifically to Varanasi, considered by
many people to be the ‘spiritual capital of the world.’ There I have connected with many people.
In 2024 I was ‘given’ the name ‘Savitri’.
To be given a spiritual name is a huge responsibility and I have taken time to consider how to honour this. Savitri will be a continual focus for my own personal practice and study.
Here is something about the meaning.
Savitri is an ancient goddess whose origins can be traced back to Vedic literature, where she is described as the daughter of the sun god, Surya. In some versions or her story she is alone, in others she has a husband, Satyavan.
Her name is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Savitur,’ which means the sun. As the goddess of the sun, Savitri symbolises light, warmth, and energy.
She is a form of the goddesses Saraswati and Gayatri. She has the ability to bring you out of the darkness and into the light.
Savitri is courageous, in one story she faces death and bargains on behalf of her beloved, returning him to life.
The sun is considered a source of life and vitality, it is revered as a symbol of divine power and consciousness.
In 2017 I was given a Tibetan Buddhist name, Dechen Khadro, meaning spirit of great joy.
