Food and Ayurveda
Nutritional value of food as well as how it looks and tastes are of primary concern, as are the holistic health benefits and energetic effects of what we put into our bodies. When we eat we need to feel good about what we are consuming, to nurture and heal ourselves with not only what we eat but the environment, attitude and the atmosphere in which we eat.
Ayurveda views food as medicine and we really are what we eat.
In Ayurveda we look at six tastes found in foods, bitter, sweet, salty, sour astringent and pungent.
By including all of these tastes in our daily food we ensure that we have a balancing effect on our body and mind.
If an imbalance is present we can alter the tastes to rebalance ourselves.
An analysis of your diet, followed by recommendations, is included in a 121 consultation.
