New Moon Yoga Nidra – South Devon

A restful and restorative practice.
Saturday 22 November 2 – 430pm at the Hands on Retreat.

New moon is a time of darkness and perfect for this practice of deep rest. This is a time for settling and for stillness.
Full moon gifts us a heightened energy and is a time for letting go and shifting anything which we no longer need.

These practices of Yoga Nidra (meaning Yoga sleep) give us deep rest, time to just be, to absorb and benefit from these energies as they shift and change.

What to expect

This practice will nourish and nurture the body with simple, gentle, restorative and easeful movements as well as using breathwork to calm the mind, bringing us into a more meditative and peaceful space within ourselves.
We will practice Yoga Nidra (guided deep relaxation) at the beginning and end of our time together, twice during the session.
You will find that the second time you enter the Nidra zone the experience becomes deeper.
This practice will be therapeutic and very accessible for anyone, regardless of experience or ability.

What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra means Yoga sleep. It is a specific way of relaxing the body and mind that takes us into a place where we are not fully awake but not asleep either. This practice is incredibly healing for the nervous system, for anxiety and for easing bodymind tension. Because there is no movement required during yoga Nidra it’s very accessible for anyone.
